For the 9u-14u divisions, teams are grouped into Pods (4 or 5 teams). The format of Pod play follows a modified double elimination bracket. Click on the brackets page on Playbook under your division and find your Pod to see how the Pod-style bracket will play out. Below is a breakdown of how this event will be seeded:
- #1 Seeds – All 1 seeds will make the championship bracket
- #2 Seeds – Listed below is where 2 seeds fall in each specific age divisions:
- 9u, 10u, 11u – All 2 seeds will make the championship.
- 12u – The top 5 #2 seeds will make the championship bracket. The remaining 8 #2 seeds will play in an 6-team consolation bracket.
- 13u – The top 4 #2 seeds will make the championship bracket. The remaining 8 #2 seeds will play in an 8-team consolation bracket.
- 14u – The top 4 #2 seeds will make the championship bracket. The remaining 8 #2 seeds will play in an 8-team consolation bracket.
- #3 Seeds - All 3 seeds are done after Pod play finishes on Saturday (exception: 3-team pods).
- #4/5 Seeds - All 4/5 seeds will play a single consolation game on Sunday.
There will be no ties in any games. Any game tied after 6 or 7 innings will go to a California tie-breaker rule.
8u will follow traditional pool play, followed by bracket play
